Enhancing Resilience in Adolescents- Project Era
Conducted in Greater Male’ area and Addu city
In 2022, we worked with Transparency Maldives (TM) and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) on a project named "Enhancing Resilience in Adolescents - Project ERA".
Project aimed to build resilience among adolescents aged 13-17 years old towards engaging in risky behaviors such as substance use through a multifaceted approach. It involved educational workshops conducted in community centers, focusing on the risks and consequences of substance abuse. These sessions included interactive discussions, role-playing and scenarios. Additionally, the project promoted extracurricular activities like sports, arts, and leadership programs to foster positive peer relationships and build self-confidence.Evaluation and feedback mechanisms ensured the effectiveness of interventions, aiming to empower adolescents with resilience and knowledge to make informed choices and avoid substance abuse.
